At Rye, ALPHA stands for Activity, Leisure, Play, Health and Achievement. Pursuit of these goals is a team effort with patients and staff contributing. Fulfillment of these goals is central to the recovery process.
   
Realistically Achievable Goals:
    
Social interaction, self-monitoring and peer support are also essential elements of treatment. All three come together in the ALPHA team concept when combined with the increase in self-esteem resulting from realistically achievable goals.
